Poll : Music player

As you can hear (if you put your speaker ON), I've got a new music player installed on this blog. It's Top 6 of my current favs and personally when I have my blog on, I like the music playing in the background. But obviously it may not be the same for others, so I've created a poll to see whether I should keep this going. Take the poll now - it is only open for 7 days!

Would love to hear from you.

Introducing : The NEW skin!

As some of you may have remembered, about 2 months ago, I announced that Tsu Lin ++ would undergo a change, physically. And there was even a time-out to prepare it (the blog) for the BIG change! Alas, due to the commitments of my graphic designer, she couldn't prepare this on time.

Roslyn, who has been so gracious to re-design the banner & the blog is a busy working mom to two beautiful, schooling girls and who is also co-ordinating her looking for a new house, the house move, trip back to Singapore, cooking & taking care of the household!

I love the new look so much : The way Roslyn designed my blog with her simple lines, and quirky but cheeky & cute use of embelishments! Also, when I first stumbled onto Roslyn's blog, I was so floored by her scrapbooking skills. And most importantly, she incorporates all my requests & made it into something so beautiful. (PS : Did you notice the Unazukin disguised as an icon? :D)

She also designs logo, so if you ever need any designing work, feel free to contact her via her blog!

Meantime... I've gotta work on the sidebar more. I am in the midst of compiling the past banners of this blog. Please click here to have a look! Comments welcomed!

Chuffed!

I'm so delighted! The talented digi-scrapper Roslyn held a contest on her blog to say she'd design a blog header for free. So I entered and on Fri (I only checked her blog on Fri) I found out that I had won! Both her girls facilitated the drawing of the winner and I must thank them for picking me at random *kisses!* :)

This is like my early birthday present! Yayyyy.... (thank you, generous Ros).So to start the ball rolling, Tsu Lin ++ will be "closed for maintenance" on 5 Mar and will resume few days later (one week?). Do check back for my new look!

The ten of us

My friends and I, together with some of our spouses/other halves have created a blog to kinda keep in touch amongst the group. Although most of us have our own blogs, there are some who does not, so this is a great place to rant to the targetted other nine who will listen. For me, I blog there on matters not relating to SW since over in TsuLin ++, it's almost mostly about SW.

Hop on to ALL OF US, if you have time on your hands. It's tagged to Boon's blog.

s u n b a b i e s ....

is now tsulin.com!

So, what kind of gift do you get from a (cool) geek on your birthday? For me, I got this supercool namesake domain name..

Thanks Praveen, for the unexpected, but very meaningful belated birthday gift! (Can't help feeling that this is also somehow related to his post about using your real name as your blog title) :P

Praveen blogged about tsulin.com here.

As you may or may not have noticed, when you clicked onto sunbabies.blogspot.com, you get transported into my very own, very first domain- http://tsulin.com!

More personalisation to follow... when I figure out how to configure and set-up this whole domain thing.

Stay tuned!

Fuss-free blogging...

So, ok.. We know blogs are like diaries - except it's online and you're subjected to the prying eyes of millions of readers (unless you have a security code to protect your entries).

And now, some ingenius bunch of tech people came up with a fuss-free blogging. Lo and behold - here comes Tumblr! Tumblr is a platform for tumblelogging. (Click on it for the wikipedia link)

According to one featured tumblelogger - Mini ZuD

"A Tumblelog, what is that? Well... say you took a Blog and left it in the dryer too long. That's what you have here."

First discovered it through Jaded Lotus, as she semi-abandoned her blog to tumblelog instead!

I notice the trend these days of eliminating the "e"s out of a word, ie FLICKR, TUMBLR.. what else?

Tumblelog also reminds me of one of my fav games - Tumblebug! . Haha!

Internetless

internetless

Was made internetless for the last 4 days. Life was indeed tough without access to the internet.

Initially, I suspected our internet provider was at fault. Called their number numerous times, and no one picked up the phone, their message on their helpline says "Pls remember that all queries can be handled by our technical assistants on our website." I sniggered at the statement.

Had lunch with friends yesterday and chatted with a fren, SK on this, he tries to troubleshoot my problem :
1. Modem/Router problem? (I insisted my router's doing fine)
2. Laptop problem? (I insist my sturdy laptop is reliable!)
3. Service provider? (Definitely)

We/he kinda concluded that most likely it's my router having issues as i wasn't able to initiate communication with it wirelessly (most likely wireless component is fried). Coming home, I tried hardwiring my laptop with the router and voila! It works. So, yeah, definitely the wireless component of the router. :(

But I still can't go on Twitter. Is Twitter's host having problems again? Seems like my KL friends are constantly updating their lives on Twitter. Hmmmm...

Ok, am just glad I can post this now. :)
